LIABILITY STATEMENT

ICETREK ehf is an Icelandic company, fully licensed as a travel agency, tour operator, and transport service provider in Iceland. Our services are offered under the brand names ICETREK and HIGHLANDS OF ICELAND.

We strongly recommend that all customers obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to their trip. This insurance should cover unforeseen events, cancellations, medical expenses, and loss or damage of personal belongings.

By participating in any of our tours, clients acknowledge and accept that outdoor activities in Iceland may involve inherent risks. These risks may arise from natural conditions, acts of nature, or third-party negligence. Participation is entirely at the client's own risk and responsibility.

It is the responsibility of each client to ensure they are physically fit and capable of participating in the chosen tour. Some tours, including hiking and trekking experiences, may be physically demanding and require a reasonable level of fitness.

Clients must wear appropriate clothing and gear suited to the weather and activity conditions.

ICETREK ehf shall not be held liable for any delays, changes in itinerary, or cancellations caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, or other events beyond our control.

We reserve the right to alter or cancel tours if conditions are deemed unsafe or if circumstances arise that could pose a risk to participants. This includes, but is not limited to, adverse weather conditions, road closures, or other unforeseen situations.

All bookings, services, and operations provided by ICETREK ehf within Iceland are governed by and subject to Icelandic law.
